I’m always looking for new animal designs to put on cupcakes, so I really enjoyed making these lizards! Since lizards can change their colors I had an excuse to make these as colorful as I wanted!
I first made a heavy glaze and dipped the tops of the cupcakes in it to produce a smooth finish on which to pipe my lizards.
I used a #8 round tip to make the body and head. I then switched to a #3 round tip to make the snout, legs, and tail. The body stripe and nostrils were made using a #3 tip as well. I used a #2 tip for the toes, eyes, and tongue.
You could easily make ‘girl’ lizards by using a #2 tip to add eye lashes.
